Digipak Planning - Conventions & Differences

Differences
Front cover
All artists are on the cover and are all mid shots/mid close ups used of them. 2 are mid shots, 1 is mid close up

Positioning of artists. 2 are in the centre of the cover, 1 is more towards the right of the cover
Front cover
2 artists are looking away from the audience, 1 is looking directly at them
Colour of the cover, 2 is in black and white, 1 is in colour representing the colour ‘red’ to help emphasise the album name (red)

Front cover
The artists name and album name is on the cover
They are all positioned in different places on the cover, 1 top, 1 middle & 1 bottom

CD
All using colours from the front cover, but the colours used least in the front cover is used more in the CD such as font colour
1 CD has lines on it rather than being just a plain colour, has equal amount of colours used rather than one dominant colour

CD
2 of the fonts used are the same as the font cover, 1 is completely different to look clear and bold

The different font used one 1 CD so audience can read it better, more clearly
CD
Placing of the album name is always at the bottom
1 CD has a thick gold rim around it for more of a girly look

Back cover
All have artist on the back in a different pose
The track list is all in different areas of the back
Back cover
Same colours used throughout the digipak
1 track list is placed diagonally rather than straight in the corner
